A home away from home for Arabic-speaking women

Sadaga Group is a community organisation rooted in Bristol, dedicated to supporting Arabic-speaking women. We bring people together every Friday at Easton Christian Family Centre, a warm, welcoming space where women can connect, learn, and thrive.

Our mission is to eliminate social isolation within the Arabic-speaking community, build confidence and skills, and encourage meaningful participation in Bristol's wider society.

Wellbeing Activities

Current Activity: Roots to Wellbeing

A nature-based support group for Arabic-speaking women in the Lawrence Hill area, run in partnership with Your Park.

The group offers a safe, women-only space for those experiencing isolation or life challenges affecting their wellbeing. Women may come with a female supporter if needed.

Sessions use the benefits of nature to help women relax, connect, and take part in activities such as arts and crafts, walks, relaxation, and peer support. Each session ends with a free shared meal, shaped by the group's preferences. Transport can be provided if required.

Between sessions, Sadaga's project lead will stay in touch with participants to offer support and signposting.
